Why Was Kangana Ranaut Slapped By CISF Jawan? Top Cop Reveals What Happened At Chandigarh Airport | Exclusive
Sources say that the female constable, who slapped Kangana Ranaut, will be suspended soon and a case is likely to be filed against her.
In a shocking incident, the new Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi and Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut was slapped by an on-duty female Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable at the Mohali Airport on Thursday afternoon. According to sources, the female CISF staff identified as Kulwinder Kaur was unhappy with Kangana’s comment on a statement about Punjab ladies during the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws, suggesting that Punjab ladies participated in the farmers’ agitation for money.
An inquiry has already been initiated against the female constable and sources say that she will be suspended soon. While giving details about the incident, a top police official exclusively told News18, “Today, Kangna Ranaut, MP from Mandi (Himachal Pradesh), and Bollywood actress, reached Mohali International Airport to visit Delhi by flight. When she reached the SHA area for frisking, a female constable of CISF, Kulwinder Kaur, conducted her frisking, and after frisking, the female constable slapped Kangna Ranaut."
“Kulwinder Kaur said that Kangna Ranaut made a derogatory statement about Punjab ladies during the farmers’ agitation against three farm laws, implying that Punjab ladies participated in the farmers’ agitation for money. The new MP from Mandi may file a complaint with the Union Home Ministry, as she conveyed this to CISF senior officials at the airport," the official added.
The flight took off at 4:10 PM. Constable Kulwinder Kaur is still present before the commandant of CISF. Kangna has reached Delhi and hasn’t reacted to the incident. Officials claim that she already enjoys security cover from CRPF, but at the airport, no one expected an on-duty constable to slap her.
Meanwhile, on the acting front, Kangana will soon be seen in Emergency. The film is based on the Emergency declared under the Indira Gandhi leadership and she will be seen playing the role of the former Prime Minister. Kangana Ranaut announced Emergency in 2021 and later clarified that even though Emergency is a political drama, it is not Indira Gandhi’s biopic. The actress is not just playing the lead in the film but is also directing it.
Besides Kangana, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry and Shreyas Talpade among others. Emergency was supposed to hit theatres on June 14, 2024, but has now been postponed.
