Team India opened their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign with a mammoth win over Ireland at the Nassau County Stadium in New York on Wednesday. The men in blue bundled out Ireland for 96 runs in 16 overs as Hardik Pandya shone with a three-fer while Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah scalped two each. Skipper Rohit Sharma led the chase from the front with his unbeaten half-century before walking back to the hut retired hurt, but Rishabh Pant closed out the game in style as he finished unbeaten on 36.
