Biennial Elections to Council of States for members retiring in April 2024

The biennial elections to Rajya Sabha covering 56 seats in 15 states took place on February 27, 2024. As many as 41 candidates secured their positions in the upper house without facing opposition leaving the remaining seats – 10 in Uttar Pradesh, four in Karnataka and one in Himachal Pradesh – open for polling.
