Highlights from the latest episodes of WWE Raw

The latest episode of WWE Raw witnessed plenty of action with eight matches advertised for the night. This week’s event highlighted the latest build-up for the company’s upcoming premium live event King & Queen of the Ring.

The show began with women’s action that saw Iyo Sky and Shayna Baszler compete. An eight-man tag-team match was held between the Authors of Pain, Creed Brothers, Judgment Day and New Catch Republic. The winner was stipulated to get a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Championship. The final fight of the latest episode of Raw saw Jey Uso take on ex-NXT superstar Ilja Dragunov.

Drew McIntyre’s bold move

Ex-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre walked onto the Raw stage calling out CM Punk and his fans. Punk had previously called McIntyre a coward and challenged him to a match. As the Scottish Terminator was speaking a huge chant for the Chicago-born wrestler broke out in the crowd. This sparked more rage from the Scotsman who called all Punk fans stupid. McIntyre then added that sooner or later he would get his hands on Punk eventually and then he would torture the former WWE Champion.

New contenders for the WWE World Tag Team titles

R-Truth was seen chatting with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce about the new contenders for their Tag Team titles. This led to Pearce announcing a match between Judgment Day, New Catch Republic, Creed Brothers and The Final Testament. R-Truth and the Miz were at ringside during this bout as Finn Balor sealed a win for the Judgment Day with a Coup de Grace.

Jey Uso set to face Gunther

Jey Uso competed in the main event of the night against Ilja Dragunov. The clash began with the former NXT superstar landing chops on the Samoan. Jey, however, recovered and hit Dragunov with superkicks for a near pinfall. Jey then finished off Dragunov with a spear to seal his place against GUNTHER in the King of the Ring semi-finals.
