No one wants to be late for their favourite singer’s concert or their live performance and eventually leave a bad impression on their idol. However, this was the case recently at IU’s Singapore concert, where a fan’s late arrival caught the K-pop artist’s attention. However, IU’s reaction was very unexpected, as she not only pulled off a joke on her fan but also welcomed him wholeheartedly. IU, as a part of her 2024 H.E.R.E.H. World Tour, performed in Singapore last month, where the entire scene unfolded.
According to a Koreaboo report, it was Day 1 of the concert when IU noticed a fan walking into the venue while her performance was midway. She instantly called out to the fan, asking if he had come late. Joking that she was “heartbroken," the singer further thanked him for remaining present for the rest of the concert.
“Did you just arrive… just now? My heart is broken. The performance was crazy. I know it rained a lot, right. Thank you so much for coming. Please enjoy from now on," the K-pop sensation said.
The moment instantly went viral on the internet, with fans loving IU’s heartwarming reaction toward her fans. Many also commented on how the singer maintains a warm relationship with everyone.
On the other hand, many other clips from the Singapore concert have also gone viral on social media. In a video, IU shared about a special gift given by her mother to everyone.

“This is a small gift from my mom to everyone. In Korea, she usually gives cushions to all audiences, but they’re too bulky to ship abroad, right? So this time, she prepared this one instead. By the way, I know the price is not really a matter for you guys, but I have to say that this is not cheaper than the cushion. So please be happy to take a little treat," she says while interacting with the fans before giving out the customised keychains.
The South Korean singer-songwriter engaged a lot with her fans. She even joked that the word ‘sing’ in Singapore stands for singing, leaving fans cheering.
She kicked off the World Tour in Seoul in March this year and will take it to other cities across Asia, Europe, and the United States.
