Jitendra Kumar has finally opened up about the rumours of his alleged rift with the makers of Panchayat, The Viral Fever (TVF). Previously, rumours of his fallout with the TVF made headlines which left everyone wondering if the actor would return to the third season of the hit series Panchayat. However, now that Panchayat 3 is out, Jitendra has admitted that there was a “misunderstanding” between them.

“There was a lot of panic and I could see that all over social media. The last season ended on Abhishek’s transfer and that also spurred the buzz further. There was a misunderstanding, and honestly, main bhi pareshan ho jata tha (I would get troubled) answering the same questions. At one point, I was like aur mat poochon, bandh karo yeh (don’t ask about it, end it now),” Jitendra told India Today.

“Given I have had a long association with TVF, people were worried about what went wrong. I understood it’s their love and we just waited for the first trailer to end all speculations,” the actor added.

Previously, Jitendra Kumar also opened up about becoming a household name with Panchayat when he told the news agency IANS, “I have always lived a simple village life. There is always chaos during the shoot of any project. I find the village life very peaceful. Whenever I return from the shoot, I miss the simplicity and feel nostalgic. I enjoy Phulera (the fictional village in ‘Panchayat’) a lot for this.”
