It is not every day that fans get to see their favourite stars up close. When that happens, most of us try to live the moment and keep it saved with us through a photo or autograph. However, for some artists, their fans have also ended up disrupting the arrangements and causing harm to them as well as those present around them. Hence, for the agencies and responsible authorities, events come with a responsibility to ensure the safety and privacy of everyone involved. This has become a pressing issue for VARO Entertainment, the agency that represents the popular actor Byeon Woo Seok.
Recently, VARO Entertainment addressed the safety and privacy breaches related to Byeon Woo Seok’s public and private activities. On May 30, VARO Entertainment released an official statement for Byeon Woo Seok’s fans. The agency expressed gratitude for the love and support the actor receives and also made a request regarding visits to the artist’s scheduled events.
“Recently, there have been situations where order is disrupted due to crowds during the artist’s scheduled activities, raising concerns about safety. To protect our agency’s artist and foster a more mature fandom culture, we would like to provide some guidance,” reads their statement as reported by Soompi.
“Firstly, in regards to private scheduled activities, the harm caused to the artist and organizers due to unauthorized visits by some fans has become more severe, so please refrain from visiting non-official scheduled activities that are not publicly announced,” they added.
To ensure everyone’s safety and promote a healthier fan culture, the agency further provided specific guidelines.
For official events, VARO Entertainment requested that fans refrain from actions that might pose safety risks. This included getting too close to the actor and attempting to hand over letters and gifts directly. The agency recommended that fans should pass any items to the manager in charge instead. They also suggested that fans can send letters and gifts to the company’s address and they would ensure that it reaches the actor. It would avoid on-site congestion.
Further, the agency strictly prohibited any actions that may invade the artist’s privacy, like following the artist’s vehicle, visiting or filming his residence without permission or attempting to obtain personal information.
“Please be aware that these actions can result in severe legal consequences,” their statement read.
Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok has been enjoying immense popularity following his role in the hit drama Lovely Runner. Additionally, earlier in May, Byeon Woo Seok had also announced his first Asia fan meeting tour titled SUMMER LETTER.
