KKR's Venkatesh Iyer is a Foodie and We Have Big Proof | WATCH

Venkatesh Iyer’s spectacular batting prowess is well-established by now, but did you know he is a big-time foodie? Recently, a video shared by Kolkata Knight Riders on Instagram has perfectly encapsulated the southpaw’s love for food. The fulfilling video which is segmented into three parts showcased that Iyer is certainly a big time foodie. The first part of the post shows Iyer munching on an item at a roadside shop. The KKR batter did not take much time in recognising the dish as he was heard saying, “This is cheesy chutney sandwich.” In the second part of the video, Iyer is spotted dipping his finger into wedding delicacy while sitting next to his wife Shruti Raghunathan. The third and final segment of the post showed Iyer discovering the famous Kolkata sweet delicacy ‘sondesh.’ Iyer, accompanied by his KKR teammate Rinku Singh, certainly loved the food, and expressed in sheer delight by saying, “Honestly, it’s extremely tasty.”

Reacting to the post shared by Kolkata Knight Riders, one Instagram user cheekily commented, “Venky is eating in his wedding like he chasing for KKR.”

Voicing a similar opinion another person responded by saying, “Venky’s eating speed is similar to the way he chased the target in the final.”

“No one can separate Venky and food,” read another reply.

Another social media user hilariously said, “Venky is recreating the eating scene of Fahadh Faasil from the movie.”

“Iyer is true legend,” wrote another Instagram user.

Just Days after winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 trophy with Kolkata Knight Riders, Venkatesh Iyer tied the knot with Shruti Raghunathan in a proper South Indian style. The reigning IPL champions congratulated Iyer and Shruti on their marriage.

Sharing a bunch of adorable pictures on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Kolkata Knight Riders posted, “Congratulations Venkatesh & Shruti, you’re winning in life.”

Venkatesh Iyer had an impressive IPL 2024 outing having scored 370 runs at a strike rate of 158.8 last season. The 29-year-old notched four half centuries in the IPL 2024 campaign. In the IPL 2024 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Iyer played a fine innings of an unbeaten 52 off 26 balls. Iyer’s sublime knock guided KKR to a comfortable eight-wicket victory in the summit clash. Chasing a target of 114, the Shreyas Iyer-led side scored the winning runs with 57 balls to spare.
