As WWE begins to re-develop a storyline between The Rock and Roman Reigns, a real-life Bloodline member has expressed his wish to face the Brahma Bull. The star in question is the son of WWE’s legendary wrestler Umaga who goes by the name Zilla Fatu. He expressed his desire in an interview with MuscleManMalcolm.
As per several media outlets, Fatu said, “Hell yeah, I want to stand in the ring with him [The Rock].”
Fatu is a young star who has majorly featured in Reality of Wrestling. He began his training two years ago and is now aiming to join either the WWE or AEW.
Talking further about the dream clash, Fatu voiced that just standing in front of The Rock would be a surreal moment for him. He was also quite confident about beating the Final Boss inside the ropes. “Against him, with him, it’ll be legendary. How many people can say that? With Rock, it would be dope. I’d win though. Hell yeah, I would win”, Fatu said.
He also talked about how he would like to walk in the footsteps of his father and other family members by building a career in the Vincent McMahon-owned company. “That’s [WWE] where the family started. That’s where the family’s at. So I want a piece of the pie. But the little PS note on the side it’s like just has to make sense like, with AEW [or] just with any promotion it just has to make sense, and if WWE, you know, if it makes sense to have me which I feel like it does because I was born into it”, he said as per SportsKeeda.
The Rock made a return to the company earlier this year with the hope of facing the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship. However, the plans were changed by the management, allowing Cody Rhodes to complete his storyline by facing Reigns at WrestleMania 40. The American Nightmare enjoyed his crowning moment at the Show of Shows to win the Universal title against Reigns. Rhodes also ended up earning a tribute from The Rock who briefly shared his ‘People’s Championship’ with the star on Raw. Since then nothing has been teased about the future plot surrounding the Hollywood superstar. However, there have been rumours The Rock is still hoping for a cousin-vs-cousin fixture against Reigns.
As for Fatu, the young wrestling star is working with Booker T’s promotion, Reality of Wrestling. It will be interesting to see if WWE has anything in store for Fatu. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Stamford-based company sign the wrestler considering they recently added Jacob Fatu to their roster.
