The Boys Season 4 Premiere Date Locked For OTT Release

Eric Kripke’s 2019 web series The Boys tweaked the superhero notion and how. Showcasing superheroes who misuse their powers, the creator paved the way for a new group of vigilantes to step up and stop them. The Boys are heroes without a cape. Running successfully for three seasons, the last segment of the much-loved franchise aired on Prime Video in 2022. After almost two years, the makers are now back with The Boys season 4. When the official teaser was dropped last year, viewers were already gripped with excitement. Fuelling the anticipation, it has been unveiled that the fourth installment will premiere on the OTT platform on June 13.

The announcement was made on February 23 by The Boys official X (formerly Twitter) handle. “The date is June 13th. You sit down with a cuppa of tea, turn on your tube, and say to yourself," read the note. Referring to the action-adventure game GTA, a snippet of the online sport was also added. It featured an avatar of a player standing in a virtual world, with its back against the camera. The popular GTA phrase, “Ah shite, here we go again," was emblazoned inside the photo.

Soon after the release date revelation, social media users expressed their joy in the comments. “I can’t wait !!! The Boys are back in town!" wrote one individual. Acknowledging the premiere date, another noted, “Calendar marked." “Gonna be a great summer between this and Deadpool," claimed a third fan.

On the same day, a poster of The Boys 4 was dropped on Instagram featuring Antony Starr as the antagonist Homelander, and Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman. They were seen waving to a crowd amidst falling confetti. “Break out the confetti," read the caption.

Besides Antony Starr and Claudia Doumit, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, and Jessie T Usher will be reprising their roles in The Boys 4. Fresh faces to join the Emmy-winning drama include Valorie Curry, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Susan Heyward.

As per The Boys’ official description, the fourth season will present viewers with a world that is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is eyeing the Oval Office song with the assistance of the Homelander. Meanwhile, Billy Butcher who lost his position as The Boys’ leader has only a few months to live. Dealing with a rift with his team, he must reunite with the other members and save the world as the stakes are much higher this time.
