Telangana Artist Paints Sand Portrait Of PM Modi Celebrating BJP Victory

His sand creations include Bathukamma, Lord Sri Ram and Goddess Sita, Shiva Lingams, Lord Shiva, freedom fighters as well as people who excelled in sports.

Ravelli Shankar from Karimnagar painted a picture of Narendra Modi on the occasion of the BJP’s victory in the election results. To express his love, he made a picture of Modi in the sand.

His sand creations have garnered widespread recognition, including Bathukamma, Lord Sri Ram and Goddess Sita, Shiva Lingams, Lord Shiva, freedom fighters, Ambedkar, KCR, idols of God, as well as people who excelled in sports.

He also received a certificate of appreciation from International Sand Ambassador Sudarshan Patnaik at the International Sand Festival held in Odisha. He has won many awards along with many appreciation papers for drawing pictures. On this occasion, Shankar said that he likes Prime Minister Modi so much that this painting was made when he won the election for the third time.

He told Local 18 that he feels that making this art is in his genes and he was born as an artist. He said that this opportunity has been given to me by God. He said that in the past thousands of pictures of many celebrities have been painted.

Shankar further added that if the government encourages him, he will excel as an international spiritual artist in the future. He said that he had participated in competitions held in Odisha in the past and won international awards.

His artistic career started while he worked with his father as a carpenter. He showcased his talent by creating works of art. The turning point came in his life when he sculpted a statue of Lord Ganesha using cornflake flour and received widespread admiration.

Earlier, he said, “Receiving a certificate of appreciation from international sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarshan Pattnaik at the recent International Sand Art Festival in Odisha is the highlight of my life so far. It has boosted my confidence, and I am preparing for the upcoming International Sand Art Festival in December.”
