Actor Darshan has a die-hard fandom, those who pour their love and support to him and his projects, wholeheartedly. It can be witnessed in his visits to places, where they all gather to get a glimpse and even meet him. The actor is aware of his influence on the masses, so he treads carefully wherever he goes, which includes the theatres. As per him, his popularity is why he avoids going to the theatres.
He says that on the release eve of his films, many celebrities and fans are present to support him in the theatres. Around 90 per cent of the people present are the fans of the actor, however, the remaining 10 per cent are the fans of cinema, who are there for an experience. So, Darshan asks, “Tell me what will happen if I go inside the theatre?”
The actor says many fans at the event shout and whistle to show their support. While some even try to reach him, if he is attending such an event. So, he asks again, “Who will be harmed by all this?” According to him, the 10 per cent of cinephiles attending the screening are bound to suffer.
Darshan loves his fans and appreciates their support, but he also respects the people who just came to watch a film. That is why, he avoids going to the screening of his films.
The actor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film titled, Devil: The Hero. It is being helmed by Prakash, who is also its writer.
