Yeo One, a member of the popular Korean boy band PENTAGON, is gearing up to embark on his mandatory military service. Ahead of his enlistment, the singer took to social media to share a heartfelt message and some photos, expressing his emotions and aspirations for his upcoming role in the Korean army. Through an Instagram post, he connected with his fans one last time, sharing several pictures showcasing his new buzz-cut hairstyle. Dressed casually in a sleeveless Nirvana T-shirt, he accessorised it with a bracelet, watch, and a tiny necklace. Accompanying the photos was an emotional message penned by Yeo One for his followers.
Yeo One assured them that he would return as a better man and asked them not to worry. “Hello, this is PENTAGON’s Yeo One, Yeo Changgu (Yeo One’s given name). For 1 year and 6 months, I will serve confidently so that I don’t feel ashamed, and I will return to UNIVERSE (PENTAGON’s fandom) as a cooler man. So don’t worry, and please always be healthy and happy and full of joy. Let’s meet again with smiling faces at the end of next year,” he wrote, as reported by Soompi.
He further added, “I will keep UNIVERSE updated as much as I am able (while serving)! I am always grateful to you, and I love you. I’ll be back.”

As soon as Yeo One shared this post, it got more than 55,000 likes. In the comment section, his fans have shared messages of support and good wishes. Yeo One’s enlistment makes him the fifth member of PENTAGON to start his military service. Although he did not specify his discharge date, his post suggests he will be back in about a year and a half.
