There is a tradition of selling old items to other people in western countries. People often keep their unused items outside their houses and put them on sale. Items of daily usage, furniture, and items for kids are on sale most of the time. It is very rare that people find scary items during the sale. Recently, a man found something similar during a sale when he was trying to bargain at a car boot. The man was astonished to find a collection of Barbie dolls that were nailed to a wooden cross. The man shared a photo on his Reddit account that showed a box full of crucified dolls. The seller of those dolls asked for $15 (Rs 1250), for the box full of scary-looking dolls. The caption of the photo said, “I found crucified Barbies at a yard sale.” There were other factors that made the situation more scary. As seen in the photo, the dolls had blood stains all over them.
The man who found the box full of dolls that were crucified into wooden crosses received many comments after he posted the photo. By looking at the comment section, one can understand that the man was warned by many people. Someone commented and warned the man to stay away from the house where he found the box full of dolls. The horrifying and confusing sight of blood-stained dolls crucified into multiple wooden crosses made the viewers of the post scared of the sight. A person also made a sarcastic comment, saying that the popular OTT site Netflix will make a documentary on the incident.
The post that went viral received multiple comments. One person commented, “I would stay away from that house and keep an eye on them if you live near them.” A third added, “Psycho…you’re going to be a serial killer…next step is the neighbourhood pets…alert child services.” While a fourth joked, “This is terrifying…15 dollars?”
Another section of the reddit users rationalised the bizarre finding of crucified dolls and wrote, “The play Hand to God calls for a bunch of crucified Barbies in the set dressing for Act 2. I designed props for a production of it once and had to make a bunch, along with some terrifying satanic bears. Maybe it was for that.”
