Lava, the homegrown Indian smartphone brand has expanded its 5G mobile phone lineup with the launch of new budget model called Yuva 5G. The device comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a powerful 50-megapixel rear camera.
The smartphone is powered by an Octa-core Unisoc 750 chipset and runs on Android 13 without any bloatware. Lava has also promised Android 14 update and quarterly security upgrades for two years. As for the pictures, the device is equipped with a 50 MP rear camera with a 2 MP depth sensor and LED flash. For selfie lovers, it has an 8 MP front camera with a screen flash.
Also, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5000 mAh battery with charging, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB C-type. Talking about the storage, the Lava Yuva 5G comes with a 4 GB RAM, 64GB/128GB UFS 2.2 Internal storage and expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD.
Apart from this, the device is also equipped with various sensors including an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and magnetometer.
Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, GPRS, Wi-fi 802.11, GPS+GLONASS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Lava Yuga 5G Price in India
The Lava Yuva 5G costs Rs 9,499 for the 4GB/64GB variant, while the 4GB/128GB variant is the price at Rs 9,999. The device will be available for purchase from the e-commerce platform Amazon, from Lava online stores and the retail stores from June 5.
Lava Yuva 5G is a successor to the company’s previously launched Yuva 3, which also had a similar 6.5-inch HD+ Display and a 90 Hz refresh rate.
The Yuva 3 was launched earlier this year. It comes equipped with an octa-core Unisoc T606 processor with Mali- G57 MC2 650 MHz GPU. Unlike the newly launched Yuva 5G, it offered a 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. However, it also had the same 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging support and a USB C-type port.
