Producer: Priyanka Das Editor: Manuj Yadav

PAN is a 10-digit alphanumeric identification provided by the Income Tax Department to taxpayers in India.

Aadhaar, on the other hand, is a distinct 12-digit identification number issued to Indian residents by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

The integration of PAN with Aadhaar serves to simplify tax filing processes, eradicate duplicate PAN cards, and enhance transparency in financial dealings.

Here are five steps by which you can link your PAN with your Aadhar card.

Visit the official website of the Income Tax Department at incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.

Navigate to the ‘Quick Links’ section and select the ‘Link Aadhaar’ option.

Input your PAN and Aadhaar number, then click on the ‘Validate’ button.

Provide your name as it appears on your Aadhaar card and your mobile number, then click on the ‘Link Aadhaar’ button.

Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number and click the ‘Validate’ button to complete the process.
