Two fishermen from Madhubani, Bihar named Harikishore Sahni and Sudhan Sahni are stirring the headlines for catching a fish weighing 125 kg. According to the Local 18 report, Harikishore and Sudhan had arrived at a river canal at Jhanjharpur, Madhubani for fishing. Before they had cast their nets, both fishermen saw the river and felt that there was an enormous creature in the water body. Harikishore and Sudhan called out the boatmen present at the canal to help them with the task at hand. Everyone helped the fishermen with this work and jumped into the river to find out. In their search, they also felt a heavy creature in the water and called for more boatmen to intensify the search efforts. It was then revealed that both Madhubani natives were lucky enough to catch a 125 kg fish.
The fisherman, Sudhan was bewildered at the sight of this fish and revealed that it took about 10 sailors to control this fish. Only after that, it was trapped in a net and taken out. When the fishermen weighed the fish after it was taken out, it weighed around 125 kg. Currently, the fish has been kept carefully in Sudhan’s bathtub.
In Madhubani, this news has become the talk of the town and the natives are curious to know more about it. As soon as they heard the news, all the natives ran towards the river. Along with the local people, people from nearby areas also flocked in huge numbers to the river canal to see this enormous fish. They started deciding the bidding rate of fish as per their estimates, but the fishermen refused to bid for it.
The species of fish could not be identified. People have made their assumptions regarding the species. Some have been calling it the big fish of the river, while others believe that this fish belongs to a foreign species. They said that these species are found in the Madhubani river canal with the flow of the river.
