A Georgia appeals court has halted all proceedings in the election interference case against Donald Trump and his co-defendants. The appeals court will rule on whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis can remain on the case.Lawyers for the former US president have repeatedly sought to have Willis removed from the case. They have argued that her romantic relationship with former special prosecutor Nathan Wade created a conflict of interest. The appeals court move means that Willis' sweeping fraud case against Trump will not go to trial before the 2024 election in November.
