The Kannada film industry will see a host of releases this month. Two very special films, Kotee and Love Li, will be released on June 14. The clash of these films will be interesting to witness. What makes it more intriguing is that the lead actors of the films, Dhananjaya and Vasishta Simha, are close friends. Kotee is a thriller drama film, directed by debutant Param and produced by Jyothi Deshpande under the Jio Studios Banner. The film revolves around Kotee (played by Dhananjaya) who opposes Dinoo Saavkar, a powerful gang leader, in his pursuit of honest wealth to fund his sister’s wedding.
Kotee stars Dhananjaya and Moksha Kushal in the main role, along with Ramesh Indira, Rangayana Raghu, Tara, Prithvi Shamanur, Tanuja Venkatesh, Sardar Satya, Abhishek Shrikanth and Akshay Nayak in supporting roles. The cinematography of the film was done by Arun Bhrama and it is edited by Pratheek Shetty. The songs are composed by Vasuki Vaibhav and the background score is by Nobin Paul, while the music rights were acquired by Saregama. The film grant pre-release event featured prominent actor, director and producer Kiccha Sudeep.
Love Li, starring Vasishta Simha, also features Stefy Patel. The film is directed by Chetan Keshav. It follows Vasishtha, an orphan who grows up to become a gangster. Later, he finds love and gets married. But he faces a serious situation where he risks losing everything.
Director Chetan Keshav said in an interview, “The film is quite different and you have to watch it at theatres on June 14 to know about it. I thank producer Ravindra Kumar and executive producers Balakrishna and Krishna for giving me an opportunity to direct this film.”
The film’s pre-release event featured famous filmmaker Rishabh Shetty, who also unveiled the trailer for the film. “I watched the film Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu and became a fan of Vasishta Simha. I liked his acting skills and dialogue delivery. The trailer of Love Li is very good. I hope it does well at the box office,” Shetty said.
Hariprriya, wife of actor Vasishta Simha, shared a picture of the event on Instagram with Rishabh Shetty alongside herself, Vasishta, and Stefy Patel. Achyuth Kumar, Malavika Avinash, Sadhu Kokila, and Sameeksha are in pivotal roles in the film. The music is composed by J Anoop Seelin. Both films have generated noteworthy buzz and excitement and there is a lot of anticipation for the films among the people.
